Carol began her artistic endeavors at the early age of 5 when she entered a drawing contest and won. From that point on she was in love with drawing and painting and as time went on she developed interests in other mediums such as clay sculpture, mixed media assemblages and printmaking but painting and drawing have remained my main focus and interest.
Even though Carol actually considers herself to be self taught Most of her formal art education was as a Fine Art major with a focus on Painting & Drawing at Arizona State University. Additionally she began her ceramics study at Arizona Western College under George Tompkins and she has subsequently taken adjunct art classes for fun and new ideas.
She considers her work to be figurative and representational. Her main source of inspiration comes from capturing the spirit and beauty of what she sees in people, places and things.
Much of her professional art experience over the last 30 years has been divided between work as a graphic artist, art educator and work as a painter and sculptor she has created a number of commissioned pieces including portraits, landscapes and sculptures her work has been shown in various shows, galleries and commercial locations. She has paintings and sculptures in private collections throughout the United States.
She also maintain an online Etsy store dedicated to selling her paintings:
