Painted Barrels on the Verde Valley Wine Trail

Come and celebrate Wine and Art all in the name of a Good Cause! The Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce presents the second phase of the unique public art exhibit: Painted Barrels on the Verde Valley Wine Trail! In 2010 the first painted barrels were placed in the Verde Valley. Over 40 wine barrels were painted by local artists and these barrels now have new homes. The first round of Painted Barrels were auctioned in May 2012 and the second round were auctioned in November 2013. Each round raised $8,000 and was contributed to Yavapai College to support the Viticulture program.

Now 40 new wine barrels turned into canvases are being painted and sprinkled all over Cottonwood and the Verde Valley

to celebrate the Verde Valley’s wine industry and its local artists. Join in the fun of touring the Wine Trail, win Painted Barrel Prizes on Facebook.

All are amazingly creative with whimsical designs that really show off the beauty of the Cottonwood and Sedona areas.

The Painted Barrels are one more reason to connect with the Verde Valley Wine Trail!
